As a Delivery Manager (Data), I led and coordinated the migration to Microsoft Dynamics and the implementation of a new Microsoft Azure Modern Data Platform. My primary responsibility was to ensure effective project delivery through defining requirements, procuring necessary resources, and managing the entire project lifecycle from design and development to testing and roll-out.

I collaborated closely with business and delivery partners to achieve desired project outcomes, fostered an agile and collaborative project team, and maintained regular communication on progress. Additionally, I managed risks, aligned the project with other digital transformation initiatives, and ensured adherence to Crisis’ values and procedures, including safeguarding and data protection. My role also involved encouraging member involvement, understanding homelessness issues, and contributing to Crisis’s overall digital and data transformation goals.

In my role as a Delivery Manager (Data) within the Digital, Data, and Technology Transformation Team, I was instrumental in driving significant actions that would transform our data capabilities and supporter experience. My key responsibility was managing and overseeing the data migration to Microsoft Dynamics and developing advice and best practice a new Microsoft Azure Modern Data Platform.

I began by leading the efforts to define detailed requirements and procure the necessary resources and technology. This involved extensive collaboration with business stakeholders and delivery partners to ensure our programme goals were clearly understood and aligned with the overall organisational strategy. I utilised my expertise in managing data projects and complex data migrations to design effective data flows and ensure our data was adequately prepared for the transition.

To ensure the successful delivery of the project, I employed a range of appropriate methodologies and management approaches tailored to each stage of the project lifecycle. I meticulously planned and managed the data work, always focusing on delivering key outcomes while mitigating risks. My approach was characterised by a collaborative and agile mindset, fostering a culture of achievement and continuous improvement within the dev and project team.

My leadership style emphasised clear and regular communication, ensuring that all team members were aligned and motivated towards achieving our project objectives. I set a strong project pace and rhythm, driving a high-performance culture and removing any barriers to success.

Beyond the specific project responsibilities, I actively encouraged and supported member involvement within Crisis, recognising the value of their insights and experiences. I developed a deep understanding of homelessness and the aims of Crisis, aligning my work with the charity’s mission and values. I diligently followed Crisis policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe and compliant working environment.
