My name is Mike Stumpf and I am a current post-postgraduate living in Canada. My main academic focus is on early modern drama, particularly Shakespeare and his contemporary playwrights, but most of my research has also been involved with the digital in one way or another. This research blog is one example. Another is my independent project website, the Early Modern Sandbox. The aim of this project is to create a working environment to explore literary data stemming from Renaissance England. I believe that the digital realm offers great opportunities for scholarship, particularly in fields like literature.
My ideas originated in and were cultivated by my studies at the University of York, UK and the University of Wisconsin-Madison but I continue to refine them unofficially here in Toronto.
